My name is Tom Hanslowe, I’m currently a grad student in musicology at UCLA. I grew up in northern New Jersey, where I played in bands and took violin lessons. I studied music education as an undergrad at The College of New Jersey and have an MA in musicology from Tufts University. This is a blog where I hope to write about music I didn’t used to like, why I think I didn’t like it, and why I like it now. I think it’ll be kind of therapeutic.
